Cozy and Inviting Rooms with Mor Furniture

Recently we had the exciting opportunity to style two spaces with Mor Furniture. We shopped through the store and online and pulled together a living room and a dining room, then styled them both with our signature Fleurish flare. The end results are rooms that we are so proud of and create cozy backdrops for hangs with friends.

The Living Room

As with any design, we like to pick one (or maybe two) main pieces or features of the space as our jumping off point. If you are working with a room that has a unique architectural feature this could be it. Or if you have an amazing heirloom piece of furniture, maybe that’s your starting point. For this room, it was the Vivian Sectional because it was the most significant piece in the room. We love how much seating it provides, the clean lines of the back and arms, and it even has hidden storage! Form plus function is always a win in our book.

To give the living room an organic and earthy  vibe, we paired the sectional with a gorgeous square leather ottoman. Going with an ottoman over a coffee table instantly increases the cozy factor of a room because it’s the perfect place to perch your feet when you are hanging with friends, or even just hanging with Netflix. When we are using an ottoman over a coffee table, we almost always style it with a large tray so there is a place to set drinks or a book.

We grounded this living room with a a soft area rug, then carried that lighter hue into the room with the accent chairs, art and accessories.

Rug size tip: always go as large as you can within your space. You at least want the front two legs of every furniture piece on the rug, but if you can get all the legs on, even better!

The Dining Room

When we saw the Maggie Table we knew we wanted to use that one for our dining space. It's classic lines coupled with its natural walnut finish give it a slightly mid-century vibe that we are very into. It lends itself perfectly to a timeless design.

We paired the table with the Ella Chairs to keep with our classic look, and layered the Sonoma Rug below. The colors in the rug add a fun little accent to the space while still keeping everything neutral.

In dining rooms it is so great to have a space where you can store extra functional items like serve ware and cookbooks. We added an open shelf to our dining for just that, then dressed it up a bit.  Now this dining room is ready for any dinner party you throw its way!

We had so much fun collaborating with Mor Furniture to create these two room designs. The living room turned out so cozy and inviting and the dining room was classic and airy, and ready to party! Which was your favorite space?
